At MetaBooks, we strive to provide high-quality digital products, including book summaries and mind maps. Since our products are digital and instantly accessible upon purchase, our refund and cancellation policy follows Dutch and EU consumer laws.

1. Right of Withdrawal (Herroepingsrecht) Under Dutch & EU Law

According to Dutch and EU consumer protection laws, digital content is non-refundable once access has been granted, unless:

  • The product is defective or inaccessible.

  • There was an error in the transaction (e.g., double charge).

  • A refund request is made before downloading or accessing the product.

By purchasing a digital product from MetaBooks, you waive your right of withdrawal as per Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive once you access or download the content.

 

2. Refund Eligibility

We will consider refund requests only in the following cases:

  • Duplicate Purchase: If you accidentally purchase the same product more than once, we will issue a refund for the duplicate.

  • Technical Issues: If a product is inaccessible due to technical errors on our end and we cannot resolve the issue.

  • Incorrect Product Delivery: If you receive a product different from what you purchased.

All refund requests must be made within 14 days of the purchase date.

 

3. How to Request a Refund

  • Order number

  • Reason for the refund request

Refunds, if approved, will be processed within 7 business days to the original payment method.

 

4. Subscription Cancellations (If Applicable)

If MetaBooks offers subscription-based services in the future, you may cancel at any time. However:

  • No refunds will be provided for the current billing period.

  • You will retain access until the end of the subscription period.

  • Future charges will be stopped after cancellation.

5. Chargebacks & Disputes

If you initiate a chargeback through your bank or payment provider without contacting us first:

  • Your account may be permanently restricted from future purchases.

  • You may be liable for dispute fees imposed by payment processors.
